FAQ

Traveling, equipment, music and more

How would you describe your work's style?

A cinematic documentary of your day. We get out of your way and we are unobtrusive, yet we are always watching and never miss a precious moment. We carefully plan the shoot, craftily capture your day, and then creatively assemble it in order to tell your unique love story, from a singular perspective.

How far can you travel and do you accept destination weddings?

Destination weddings are awesome! But they are also sometimes tricky so it’s important to confirm its legally feasible. We are willing to consider traveling pretty much anywhere you're event is set to take place (local, regional, national international). A maximum distance of 60km (from Montreal or Sherbrooke) is covered by any chosen package, after which any additional distance is charged at 0.54$/km. For any other mode of transportation required to reach the destination(s), please inquire!

What equipment do you use and do you have backups?

We always have backup cameras to make sure we’re still good in case of an equipment failure. That being said, it has very rarely happened. The equipment we use is constantly changing and varies from project to project. We mainly shoot with cameras with interchangeable lenses in order to get nice cinematic images. For audio, we use wireless mics and mini-recorders plugged directly into the PA systems if available. We also carry a few lights, which we use if ever the environment gets too dark but we do use them sparingly and with great caution as to not disturb you and your guests.

Who picks the music for our Wedding Films?

I usually do. I select every music track carefully, in order for it to fit the scene’s content, mood and pace. My choices are based on your own styles and personalities and the tracks are purchased and properly licensed through established online music agencies containing a range of music genres. You are of course free to share any music suggestions/requests with me. I cannot, however, include any music track that can’t be properly licensed for the simple fact that no one is allowed to use an artist’s music commercially without obtaining/paying for a license. Tracks usually go for 50-100$ a piece, just so you know where part of the budget is going. These music tracks make such a difference in the quality of your Films and the viewing experience. They are essential.

How do you work with photographers?

Very well! We are used to being around and working alongside each other a lot and most likely have already worked together before. I try to talk with the photographer(s) beforehand, just to make sure I’m familiar with their game plan. Let me know if ever you’d like me to recommend a photographer (or other wedding vendor). It would be a pleasure to be able to help you out!

How long before we receive the finished films?

Editing your films requires proper time because I do not edit everything the same way. Your wedding is unique and so should your Wedding Films be. During peak wedding season, the normal delivery time is anywhere between 12 to 16 weeks following your wedding day.
